Kenneth Patchen Reads With Jazz in Canada

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Captured during a live performance in Vancouver, the Beat generation poet delivers his surreal, impassioned verse accompanied by the Alan Neil Quartet. The seamless integration of spoken word with spontaneous jazz improvisation elevates the emotional intensity of the literary material. The recording stands as a premier example of the synergistic relationship between mid-century avant-garde literature and modern jazz.
