Relief

Album Notes & Community Reviews

The Chicago-based experimentalist delivers one of his most deeply challenging and oppressive works, consisting of two massive, half-hour auditory monoliths. The album utilizes piercing, high-frequency sine waves and overwhelmingly dense walls of electronic static to completely obliterate any sense of traditional musicality. It is a profoundly isolating, severely minimalist exercise in sustained tension that physically tests the endurance of the listener.
