Biography
Chicago experimental musician who began as a prepared-guitar improviser in the 1990s and became a central figure in American noise and drone. Drumm's 'Sheer Hellish Miasma' (2002), issued on *Peter Rehberg*'s #Mego# label, is a landmark of abrasive electronics, while 'Imperial Distortion' (2008) explores near-stillness and slow synthetic drift. His output is vast and largely self-released, moving between free improvisation, harsh noise and minimal composition with complete indifference to genre boundaries.
