Album Notes & Community Reviews
As the final album released during frontman Viktor Tsoi's lifetime, 'Zvezda po imeni Solntse' remains a monumental cultural touchstone in Russian rock music. The record solidifies Kino's melancholic post-punk sound, utilizing stark drum machine rhythms and austere synthesizer lines to frame Tsoi's poetic, introspective lyricism.
