Album Notes & Community Reviews

Representing a significant stylistic pivot, Stef Heeren's project largely abandons its dark folk origins for a severe, synthesizer-driven aesthetic. The album heavily embraces the synthetic rhythms and cold atmosphere of 1980s darkwave and gothic rock, punctuated by driving drum machines and gloomy vocal deliveries. Translating to 'apocalyptic mood', it aptly soundtracks an immersive landscape of mechanized, dystopian melancholy.
