Album Notes & Community Reviews

The second release of their 'unmasked' era finds the legendary shock-rockers fully assimilating into the aesthetics of 80s pop-metal. Featuring the blistering fretwork of short-lived guitarist Mark St. John, the album relies heavily on slick, high-tempo anthems like the MTV staple 'Heaven's on Fire'. It was a massive commercial success that re-established the group's commercial dominance in the MTV decade.
