Album Notes & Community Reviews

Fully embracing the glitzy, unmasked era of the band, this release heavily leaned into the neon-drenched aesthetics of the mid-80s hair metal explosion. 'Asylum' marks the official studio debut of lead guitarist Bruce Kulick, whose technical shredding significantly modernized their driving hard rock sound. While criticized for its overtly commercial posturing, the album secured platinum status and maintained their relevance in the MTV era.
