The Summoner

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Created in response to the sudden passing of a close friend, the Belgian composer crafts an overwhelmingly heavy, remarkably cinematic auditory reflection on the five stages of grief. 'The Summoner' violently contrasts beautiful, mournful classical string arrangements with terrifyingly dense walls of doom metal guitar distortion. The result is a profoundly cold, intensely depressive, and brilliantly atmospheric exercise in dark ambient dread.
