Album Notes & Community Reviews

Serving as his debut home-recorded collection under his own name, '10 Songs' is an intimate, raw, and highly lo-fi statement from Philadelphia-based singer-songwriter Kurt Vile. Originally self-released on hand-packaged CD-Rs, the tracks showcase a skeletal blend of fingerpicked acoustic folk rock, bedroom-folk, and slow, meditative drone loops. The songs deliver an unpolished, highly observational diary of his early years, laying the crucial artistic foundation for his signature slacker-rock style.
