Biography
Kurt Vile is an American singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist known for his distinctive, hazy brand of psychedelic-tinged indie rock. After co-founding *The War on Drugs* with *Adam Granduciel*, Vile departed to focus on his solo career, often accompanied by his backing band, The Violators. His music, characterized by intricate fingerpicked guitar, a relaxed vocal delivery, and meandering song structures, has drawn comparisons to artists like *Neil Young* and *Tom Petty*. He achieved wider recognition with albums like 'Smoke Ring for My Halo' and 'Wakin on a Pretty Daze' on the #Matador# label, before signing with #Verve Records# for 2022's '(watch my moves)'.
