Album Notes & Community Reviews

Finding an unexpected muse in the archaic Omnichord synthesizer, the Virginian songwriter completely stripped back her previously guitar-oriented sound for this release. 'Acquainted With Night' relies solely on the instrument's vintage, droning hum and incredibly sparse drum machine patterns to support her soaring, poetry-driven vocal performances. The project is an exquisitely lo-fi, intensely nocturnal achievement in modern folk minimalism.
