Album Notes & Community Reviews

Continuing his pioneering work on the Hammond B-3, the organist pulls back slightly from the avant-garde abstraction of his mid-sixties output to embrace deeply rhythmic, groove-oriented structures. The inclusion of intricate horn arrangements supports his characteristically unorthodox, modal approach to soulful improvisation.
