Album Notes & Community Reviews

Captured in his early career before his foray into modal and avant-garde explorations, 'Testifying' presents organist Larry Young firmly rooted in deeply swinging soul-jazz. Flanked by Thornel Schwartz on guitar, Young鈥檚 Hammond B-3 playing displays an incredible lightness and agility that sets him apart from heavier players of the era.
