Last Ex

Last Ex is an instrumental project formed by Simon Trottier and Olivier Fairfield of the band Timber Timbre. The material on this self-titled debut was originally composed for a horror film soundtrack, and the music retains a tense, cinematic quality. The album blends the motorik rhythms of Krautrock with noir-ish jazz atmospheres and the textural depth of post-rock, creating a sound that is both groovy and suspenseful.
