Album Notes & Community Reviews

Laura Marling's fourth album is a mature and masterful song cycle that explores a breakup with nuance and acoustic virtuosity. The first half flows as a continuous suite of open-tuned guitar folk, while the second half settles into more traditional, reflective songwriting. Marling's voice is commanding and wise beyond her years, cementing her status as one of the finest British songwriters of her generation.
