Biography
English folk singer-songwriter from Eversley, Hampshire, who debuted with 'Alas, I Cannot Swim' (2008) and deepened her writing across 'Once I Was an Eagle' (2013) and 'Semper Femina' (2017) for #Virgin Records#. She sang early on with *Noah and the Whale* and records with *Mike Lindsay* as *LUMP*. Marling's fingerpicked guitar, formal lyric control and refusal of celebrity have made her a benchmark for modern British folk.
