Album Notes & Community Reviews

Inspired directly by an isolating, soul-searching period spent living in Los Angeles, the British songwriter incorporates electric guitars and a driving rhythm section for the first time. The shift injects a restless, urgent momentum into her usually delicate fingerpicked folk style. The philosophical lyricism heavily grapples with themes of ego, spiritual direction, and the vastness of the American landscape.
