Song for Our Daughter

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Addressed conceptually to a fictional child, the British songwriter uses this narrative framing to offer hard-won advice on navigating womanhood, abuse, and artistic independence. The arrangements strip back the heavier rock elements of her previous record, relying on lush strings, delicate fingerpicking, and stunningly intimate vocal performances. Released early to provide comfort during lockdown, it stands as her most tender and grounded work to date.
