Inside Hi-Fi

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Showcasing the deeply intellectual alto saxophonist in a rare and highly effective tenor saxophone context, this session highlights a slightly warmer, more robust tone than his usual fare. The complex, highly linear improvisations are flawlessly executed, proving his cerebral, Tristano-influenced methodology translated beautifully across different woodwind instruments. The exceptionally clear, high-fidelity stereo recording captures his intricate melodic logic with pristine intimacy.
