Album Notes & Community Reviews
Recorded with a massive array of avant-garde jazz luminaries including Julius Hemphill and John Stubblefield, this album highlights trumpeter Lester Bowie's deeply expressive, theatrical style. The record freely traverses between blazing collective improvisations and surreal, humorous deconstructions of traditional jazz forms.
