Album Notes & Community Reviews

The celebrated Art Ensemble of Chicago trumpeter steps out for a vibrant, wildly eclectic solo session backed by a stellar quintet. 'The 5th Power' perfectly illustrates Bowie's signature blend of traditional gospel, swinging post-bop, and sudden, theatrical bursts of avant-garde dissonance.
