The Pursuit of Accidents

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Anchored by Mark King's virtuosic slap-bass technique, the British ensemble delivered a highly sophisticated blend of jazz-fusion complexity and dancefloor-ready funk grooves. The album notably achieved their first major domestic hits with 'The Chinese Way' and 'Weave Your Spell', successfully bridging the underground Britfunk scene with the mainstream pop charts. It captures the group's transition into one of the most commercially successful pop-funk acts of the decade.
