Album Notes & Community Reviews
The explosive debut album from the Brazilian transgender artist and activist delivers a fierce, uncompromised socio-political statement. The tracking radically deconstructs the aggressive, bass-heavy rhythms of traditional baile funk, infusing them with abrasive electronic club textures and provocative, hyper-sexual rap verses. The record was heralded for its aggressive confrontation of institutionalized queerphobia and racial violence in modern Brazil.
