Origin of the Alimonies

Conceived as an operatic companion to a visual film, Hunter Hunt-Hendrix utilizes this project to intertwine her complex personal theology with her experience of gender transition. The record drastically expands the band's 'transcendental black metal' sound by incorporating massive classical orchestration, harp, and frantic glitch-heavy totalism. It is a dense, polarizing, and relentlessly ambitious piece of avant-garde art.
