Album Notes & Community Reviews

This debut album introduced the band's highly controversial 'Transcendental Black Metal' philosophy to the underground music scene. Helmed by Hunter Hunt-Hendrix, the record utilizes the 'burst beat'鈥攁n ecstatic, fluctuating variation of traditional blast beats鈥攖o construct dense, major-key walls of noise that aim for spiritual euphoria rather than traditional satanic gloom. It deeply polarized metal purists while fascinating the independent indie-rock press.
