Album Notes & Community Reviews
Arriving firmly in the midst of the Swedish black metal explosion, Lord Belial's 'Kiss the Goat' perfectly bridges the gap between primitive satanic aggression and sophisticated melodicism. The debut heavily utilizes acoustic interludes and highly intricate guitar harmonies without ever sacrificing the freezing, blast-beat driven intensity demanded by the genre. It remains a highly respected, deeply atmospheric classic of the 90s Swedish scene.
