Album Notes & Community Reviews
Exploring the historical intersections of Celtic, Spanish, and Moroccan cultures, 'The Mask and Mirror' is a richly textured tapestry of world music and new age etherealism. McKennitt's soaring soprano and meticulous incorporation of traditional Middle Eastern instrumentation create a deeply spiritual and cinematic meditation on 15th-century mysticism.
