Album Notes & Community Reviews
Recorded during the height of the Pinochet dictatorship in Chile, the band delivered a biting critique of consumerism and political oppression wrapped in accessible pop melodies. 'La cultura de la basura' relies heavily on lo-fi synthesizer arrangements and sarcastic lyricism, marking a slightly more experimental detour from their punk origins. It stands as a vital socio-political document of Latin American rock.
