Album Notes & Community Reviews
The landmark debut album from the Chilean trio, 'La voz de los '80' (The Voice of the '80s) is one of the most important and influential records in Latin American rock history. Released independently under the military dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet, the album is a powerful work of protest music, with lyrics that directly critique Chilean society and the regime. Musically, it channels the energy of The Clash, blending rebellious new wave, punk, and ska into a collection of urgent and enduring anthems.
