Album Notes & Community Reviews

Guided by producer Norman Granz, the foundational jazz icon is paired with the lush, string-heavy arrangements of Russell Garcia. The session subdues his typically fiery trumpet playing to focus heavily on his warm, expressive vocal interpretations of popular standards, highlighting his impeccable, behind-the-beat phrasing.
