Rebuilding the band with an entirely new lineup, Arthur Lee guided Love away from baroque orchestration and into tighter, more focused guitar-rock. 'Four Sail' is wonderfully mellow and fiercely melodic, balancing heavily psychedelic, fiercely rocking acid-rock solos with deeply introspective, surprisingly playful, and remarkably bittersweet existential lyricism.
