HEY WHAT

Album Notes & Community Reviews

On their thirteenth and final album 'HEY WHAT', Low refines and intensifies the experimental electronic direction established on its predecessor. Producer BJ Burton sculpts landscapes of digital distortion, stuttering pulses, and abrasive noise, which stand in stark contrast to the pristine, melodic, and often hymnal vocal harmonies of duo Alan Sparhawk and Mimi Parker. The resulting tension between sonic chaos and vocal clarity creates a work of stoic resilience and beauty, serving as a powerful and critically acclaimed final statement for the band.
