Album Notes & Community Reviews

On 'Ones and Sixes', Low integrates a more muscular and abrasive electronic sound, a shift guided by co-producer BJ Burton that contrasts sharply with their established slowcore majesty. The album's production incorporates industrial distortion, glitchy textures, and cavernous arrangements, creating a tense and ominous atmosphere. Amidst this harsher sonic landscape, the core songwriting of Alan Sparhawk and Mimi Parker remains, with their vocal harmonies anchoring thematic explorations of communication breakdown, relationships, and faith.
