Fatigue

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Taja Cheek's sophomore record is a staggering, deeply layered exploration of grief and exhaustion that entirely defies easy categorization. Utilizing extensive personal field recordings, gospel motifs, and tape manipulation, the album functions as a continuous, flowing sound collage grounded by elements of avant-garde jazz and neo-soul. The project was heavily lauded as one of the most innovative and structurally free experimental pop albums of the year.
