Album Notes & Community Reviews
Drastically pivoting from the heavy metal origins of their debut, the German ensemble executed an incredibly tight foray into brass-infused progressive jazz-rock. 'Banquet' relies heavily on a 16-piece orchestral section and complex rhythms, serving as one of the most unpredictable and technically impressive stylistic shifts of the 1970s.
