Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded during a politically oppressive era following the imposition of martial law, this album solidified the Polish group as massive, rebellious icons behind the Iron Curtain. 'Mental Cut' balances dark, angular post-punk guitars with driving new wave rhythms, all anchored by Kora's uniquely fierce, charismatic vocal delivery. Despite suffering from occasional state censorship, the record sold phenomenally and influenced a generation of Eastern European rockers.
