Biography
Maanam was a Polish rock band formed in Kraków in 1975 by guitarist Marek Jackowski; his wife Kora became its iconic singer in 1976. Their energised post-punk and new wave records — 'O!', 'Night Patrol' and 'Sie ściemnia' — made them one of Poland's most popular bands of the 1980s. Kora's charisma and Jackowski's songwriting defined an era of Polish music. Maanam disbanded in 2008.
