Album Notes & Community Reviews

Mac DeMarco continues his prolific streak of independently released projects with 'Dog on the Rock'. The project leans heavily into his trademark lo-fi bedroom pop aesthetic, layering melancholic, detuned synthesizers over repetitive, hypnotic drum machine loops. Non-lexical vocalizations and scat singing replace traditional lyricism, highlighting an increasingly minimalist and experimental approach to his songwriting.
