Album Notes & Community Reviews
Mal Waldron continues his prolific international recording streak, applying his intensely rhythmic, heavily percussive piano style to rigorous hard bop frameworks. The trio setting provides extensive room for his distinctively dark, repetitive chordal vamping and highly deliberate improvisational logic.
