Album Notes & Community Reviews
The Brooklyn-based collective's fourth album is a remarkably diverse, rhythmically dense exploration of global funk, heavily incorporating Latin polyrhythms, blazing brass sections, and fuzzed-out psychedelic guitars. Known for their incredible instrumental versatility, the Wilson brothers navigate seamlessly between heavy, floor-filling grooves and delicate, jazzy vibraphone interludes. It stands as a prime example of the musically boundless, culturally integrative funk of the early 1970s.
