Album Notes & Community Reviews

The title track began as the B-side of a hymn single recorded for the Africa Cup of Nations, then crossed to American dancefloors in 1973 after New York DJ Frankie Crocker championed an import copy at WBLS. Its 'ma-mako, ma-ma-sa, mako-mako sa' refrain was later interpolated by Michael Jackson on 'Wanna Be Startin' Somethin''.
