Album Notes & Community Reviews

For their twelfth studio album, the notorious Swedish black metal stalwarts largely pivot away from the World War II thematic focus of their previous releases to return to pure, unadulterated Satanic occultism. The production remains incredibly fierce, highlighted by Morgan H氓kansson's signature chainsaw guitar tone and relentless blast beats, but noticeably incorporates slower, deeply ominous, doom-laden passages. It is a suffocating, deeply traditional continuation of their legacy as pioneers of hyper-aggressive Scandinavian extreme metal.
