Album Notes & Community Reviews
Marking the highly anticipated return of longtime bassist and principal songwriter Twiggy Ramirez, this seventh studio album acts as a deeply personal, emotionally fraught breakup record. Written in the aftermath of the frontman's divorce, the music shifts away from theatrical industrial-metal toward sleazy, blues-infused alternative rock and bleak acoustic ballads. It is frequently cited as the rawest, least guarded vocal performance of the singer's career.
