Their early work was championed by *Trent Reznor* of *Nine Inch Nails*, who signed them to his #Nothing Records# label and produced their 1994 debut, 'Portrait of an American Family'. The band achieved widespread notoriety and commercial success with the album 'Antichrist Superstar' and the subsequent 'Mechanical Animals', cementing their status as one of the most controversial and iconic acts of the era.
