Album Notes & Community Reviews

Moving toward a more structured, dark progressive sound on their sophomore effort, the group utilized cello, flute, and organ to create an intricate, classically-inflected atmosphere. The music often feels dramatic and martial, exploring complex rhythmic shifts that move well beyond their initial psychedelic-folk roots. It stands as a sophisticated, ambitious, and often overlooked high-water mark of British progressive rock.
