Takanaka

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Released as his second full-length of the year, the master Japanese guitarist further refines his breezy, impeccably produced 'resort music' aesthetic. Blending complex, Latin-inflected jazz-funk rhythms with accessible pop melodies, the album heavily features bright synthesizer textures and blistering electric guitar solos. It perfectly encapsulates the optimistic, affluent atmosphere of Japan's rapidly expanding City Pop movement.
