Album Notes & Community Reviews
For their sophomore effort, the electronic duo Matmos conceptually merged complex digital IDM structures with the acoustic warmth of traditional Americana. The record heavily relies on acoustic guitars, banjos, and highly unconventional organic sound sources, effectively pioneering the surreal textures of early folktronica.
