Album Notes & Community Reviews

On 'The Mekons Rock 'n' Roll', the British collective subverts traditional rock music tropes while simultaneously employing them to critique the music industry and late-stage capitalism. The album blends ramshackle alternative rock instrumentation with biting, sociopolitical lyricism, creating a paradoxical celebration and deconstruction of the rock ethos.
