Lilies

Album Notes & Community Reviews

The third studio album from the Belgian jazz vocalist was recorded in total isolation within a lightless, soundproofed room to capture an intense sense of intimacy. The tracking relies on sparse, brooding instrumentation, utilizing deep acoustic bass, subtle piano, and electronic textures to support her smoky, whispered vocal deliveries. The record conjures a striking, late-night cinematic atmosphere steeped in dark jazz and trip-hop.
