Melanie De Biasio is a Belgian jazz singer and flautist whose minimalist, breath-led style emerged after a lung infection sidelined her flute playing. Her album 'No Deal' (2013) became an international cult success, followed by the single-piece 'Blackened Cities' (2016) and 'Lilies' (2017). She is celebrated for concerts of rare stillness and concentration. Critics across Europe rank her among the finest jazz singers of her generation.
